HAPPY CANADA DAY EVERYBODY!!!

It is relatively early on July 1st here in the sleeply little town of Baños de Agua Santa, Ecuador. I just went for a walk as everything is starting to open up, tour operators trying to sell me trips for the day, a really nice old lady tried talking me into moving to her hostal, the guy I bought water from tried talking me into extra chocolate... so all in all things are humming along as usual here.

How normally things are going here this morning makes for even more of a contrast from how we expect the day is going to progress back home. We are wishing for great weather for all of you Canadians planning on partying, BBQing, watching fireworks and perhaps having a bit to drink???

We have been able to take part is some pretty great, very random, Latin American fiestas along the way - but today are definetly going to miss going down to Parlimant Hill and being part of the festivities there with friends, family and strangers. We're not quite sure what we'll do to celebrate here, but I am certain we'll figure something out.

We hope you all have a fantastic party and
ENJOY THE FIREWORKS!!!
